Install Prize EV

Buyout cost, instant wins left, value, a suggested spend and a simulation, in a small window over any competition page.

On a computer (Chrome, Edge or Brave)

1. Download the extensionUnzip it into a folder you will keep: the browser runs it from there.Download prize-ev-extension.zip
2. Open the extensions pageType chrome://extensions in the address bar (Edge: edge://extensions).
3. Turn on Developer modeThe switch at the top right.
4. Click Load unpackedChoose the folder you unzipped.
5. Pin itPin Prize EV from the jigsaw-piece menu. The toolbar button shows or hides the window on any page.

On an iPhone (Safari)

1. Install UserscriptsFree, from the App Store.Userscripts on the App Store
2. Turn it on in SafariSettings > Apps > Safari > Extensions > Userscripts: turn it on and allow it on all websites.
3. Save Prize EV into its folderOpen the Userscripts app once to see its folder, then save this file into that folder with the Files app.Download prize-ev.user.js
4. Open a competition page in SafariThe window appears by itself.

On Android (Firefox)

Samsung Internet and Chrome on Android can't run add-ons, so use Firefox.

Using it

• Tap any number to correct it. Your numbers are kept for that competition (shown in blue); "Use the page's numbers" puts them back.
• The minus button hides it to a small button showing the buyout value; tap that to open it. Drag the title bar or the small button to move it.
• Suggested spend: the spend with the best chance that one instant win is worth more than what you spend, with that chance and the chance your instant wins add up to more.
• Run simulation: "Buy tickets" plays out buying that many tickets thousands of times; "Run the competition" plays out the operator's side, with card fees, platform fees, free postal entries and prize costs.

Everything is worked out on your own device from what the page shows; nothing is sent anywhere. The figures are estimates: check them before relying on them.
